FreePrivateConvert

Terms of Service

Effective September 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By using FreePrivateConvert (the "service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Description of the service

FreePrivateConvert provides in-browser file conversion — video, audio, image, PDF, and structured-data formats — at no cost, with no account required. Conversion runs entirely on your own device; we do not receive, process, or store the files you convert on any server.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use this service. If you are using it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You are solely responsible for the files you convert and for having the right to process them. Because files never leave your device, we have no technical ability to review, moderate, monitor, or remove content you process, and no visibility into what you convert.

6. Usage and fair use

There are no usage limits and no paid tier. Conversions run on your own device, so you may use the service as often as you like, provided you use it lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt the website or the service it provides to others.

7. Intellectual property

The FreePrivateConvert name, branding, and the service's own source code and design are owned by us or our licensors. You retain all rights to the files you convert — we claim no ownership or license over your content, and, as above, we never receive a copy of it in the first place.

8. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Some conversions (noted on their respective pages as "experimental") depend on codec support in the in-browser engine and may fail for specific files; we do not guarantee successful conversion of every file.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreePrivateConvert and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Because your files are processed entirely on your own device, we are never in a position to lose, leak, or corrupt them ourselves.

10. Changes to the service or these terms

We may modify or discontinue the service, or update these terms, at any time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rivers State, Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
